The Game is a metaphor for s system designed and run by the users themselves which will ultimately replace the current dysfunctional political, legal and financial systems which dominate our world. It is not any one system (or game) but rather a collection of new user defined systems and protocols for living and working together for our increasingly shared values and goals.
The Story of the Game is a story about the nature of our development as humans and a concept for how systems built with one value set in mind can ultimately be useful, and used, for a higher purpose. What this means for humanity is not that everything we are doing now, no matter how misguided, is worthless. In fact, its just the opposite. It means that everything we are doing now will ultimately by used in ways that are hardly imaginable today.
Corporate power structures designed to control industry and consolidate wealth will be transformed into social structures where the concentration of power can be put to best use. The solution to humanities currently massive challenges is NOT to dismantle old structures because they are corrupt. Rather it is to transform those structures into ones that reflect the will of the growing awareness of the masses.
Which would be better to bomb a corrupt regime back to the stone ages and then come in and rebuild from scratch, or to transform a corrupt structure by replacing the corruption with a higher and broader value set over a longer period of time.
Neither approach is simple, but one engages and respects the development of all that has come before, while the other assumes it has the answers and destroys in its effort to build.
Ghandi said “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” I repeat the same thing. begin the game you wish the world to be playing. Whether it is your business, your art, your family or simply your mindset.
Begin what you can from where you are at. It is that simple. Carry no guilt and no judgment. We are all doing the best we can at the moment coming from where we are from. Understand that about yourself and guilt falls away and judgment becomes a bad joke.
